Perseverance of Faith

What do you do when your faith is Tested?

Image result for 1st corinthians 2 5Do you give up when you face struggles? Do you turn away from God? Do you blame God? OR Do you pick yourself up and turn to God and allow Him to use what you're going through to strengthen you and enhance your faith?

God doesn't put things in your life to break you or make you weak, he put things into your life to strengthen you, enhance your faith, and test your faithfulness. The Bible declares, 15 All of this is for your benefit. And as God’s grace reaches more and more people, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive more and more glory. 16 That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. 17 For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!” (2 Corinthians 4:15-17) (NLT). So, always remember, your present situation, struggle, whatever uphill battle is small and Will Not Last Very Long!

It is okay to shout out loud 'God please help me out', 'God please use this tough time to test my persistence and faith'. To maintain your faith, you keep on going, you do not give up and throw in the towel! When you're faithful you are determined to get to that place you see yourself, for example, getting that degree you have been working so hard on, or that house/flat/studio/apartment you have your sights on or that promotion you have been working towards at work. When you are faithful, you are persistent in spite of difficulty or whatever may stand in your way!

God is interested in the person you are becoming and growing to be not what you are going though at this point in your life. God knows that you are diligent, determined, and persistent. He knows what you are capable of, He knows what you need in the here and now and also in your future! So, Remember that what you are going through Right Now is merely testing your faith and faithfulness to God. It's your choice what you do when life doesn't go according to plan. The Bible says, 18Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later." (Romans 8: 18) (NLT). What you are going through right now does Not compare to what God has in store for you!

Prayer:
Dear Lord, help us to maintain our faith, remain determined, diligent and persistent. Help us, Lord, to find our victory in You, to maintain our faithfulness. Lord, help us to remember that what our life looks like right now; struggles, trials, up-hill battle, that it won't last nor will it shape us. In Jesus' Name. Amen!

Try it again... Try it With ME!

So many of us have attempted to do so many things ourselves but we have failed. The reason you failed when you attempted that thing is that you attempted it on your own. You didn't Consult or Discuss it with God first. You went along and did it by yourself, thinking that you could do it and achieve it by yourself, but you couldn't and Failed! This is where you successfully played yourself. Think of it like this. Making decisions without God in the centre or consulting Him for His help Support and Guidance are almost like speeding in a car without a seatbelt, at 170mph. Yes, you will get an exhilarating feeling, but you will eventually crash and realise that it was both silly and stupid to think that being in a speeding car without a seatbelt was safe, sensible, and the right thing to do. God wants you to take the back seat ! Let Him reveal to you His Amazing plans for your life. God is Greater than our plans. He is Greater than the decisions we make. He is Greater and G

Having a Better relationship with God

"They were to look for God... and find Him because He is not far from each one of us. It is in Him that we live and move and keep on living". Acts 17:27 (NLV). You know that you want a better relationship with God, you just don't know how. God is always available to you if you "..seek Him with all your heart" (Deuteronomy 4:29). You personally need to make time to read God's Word every day ! It might not be easy but it is worth it! Between the busyness of life e.g work, school activities, church, volunteering etc.. You need to make the time to be in His Word. Just You and Him. It clearly declares in the Bible "Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty, is divided between God and the world". James 4:8 (NLT). God wants us to know him! That's a fact! Here are some tips on how you can have a Better relationship with God: 1. Schedule God's Word- Write a s

God's Love!

God's love is Deep, High, Wide and Long! It holds such greatness that it cannot be fully understood! Ephesians 3: 18-19 says, 18   " And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.   19  May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God". (NLT) Think about the way you love others. Do you love some and not love others? Is your love selective? Is it wide? Does it stretch out to those you do not know? Do you love those who have done you wrong? Read  Matthew 5: 44   God's love is one that extends, stretches and spreads across the whole world. It includes everyone and everything that He created. God created the world; He made us in His own image (Genesis 1: 27) and He loves us. God's  love for you is unconditional! Whether you like it or not, or want to believe it
