God's plan! Will you seek it?

"You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail." (Proverbs 19: 21) (NLT)

Related imageYou can make all the plans in the world. Plans that you think you will follow through all the way. But the thing is life isn't smooth sailing, your plans may not fall through because that is not what God's plan is for you personally! He has a plan for your life. If you come to a dead-end in your career, your studies, your work or even your relationship, it isn't because it has run its course, its because its our of your control and you truly cannot do anything about it. God is in control of these things. When you come across things that aren't in your control you must focus on what God is doing in that situation. It may be his message to you, telling you to leave it in his hands, because he is trying to increase your faith, to trust him with all you heart. The bible says, 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him and he will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3: 5-6) (NIV).

For some of us it takes us a while to see that God's plan is better than plans that they chose to follow. When your plans do not go to plan, what do you do? Who is your first point of call? You need to have faith in God because most things in life are beyond your control, so you need faith to believe and trust that He's got you. God's got a plan for your life. The plans you set for yourself, the plans that other people set for you, and the plans your culture expects you to follow are not the plans that God has for you, they do not compare to the plans of God. When you follow other people's plans; this may be friends, family, or a boyfriend/girlfriend, you are living for them and what they want for you. This is incorrect and may be holding you back to God's plan and purpose for you and your life!

I encourage you to reflect on your life and the things that you face. What gifts do you have? What abilities do obtain? God has placed special gifts insides each and every one of us, and it is up to us to listen to Him, have Faith in Him, and to Trust Him to unlock these gifts! What type of personality do you have? Is your personality defined by others? What do you love to do? You are You, and you are shaped to do what God wants you to do. When you come to a dead-end, it is because it is a part of God's plan for you, You need to begin to ask yourself, what have I missed? What should I be doing instead of what I am doing now? What is God's plan for me truly?

Prayer:
Dear God, please help us to build trust in you, your promise and plans for us. Help us to see Your vision and your Will for our lives. Lord, please help us to understand that when we have reach a dead-end and face the impossible that you are there to open our eyes to see that it is not a dead-end, but simply that we need to follow your plans and remember that the best is yet to come. In Jesus' name. Amen!

Bad Company Corrupts Good Character!

Yes, there is a need to avoid Bad Company. 1 Corinthians 15: 33 says this " Do not be misled:  “Bad company corrupts good character.” (NIV). Do your friends corrupt your morals? Do you allow your friends to corrupt your morals?  It is important to choose wisely who you allow to influence you. We are humans and are easily corrupted by the company we keep. We need to prevent others bad influences from causing us to become a bad influence on ourselves and others.  Friends can either help us or harm us. Only You can choose the company you keep! God made the statement in His Word, the Bible, which proclaims " Do not be misled:  “Bad company corrupts good character.”  (NIV). This statement reminds us that we are a building board for Jesus and we must not Waiver and stumble off the path that God has set for us. Bad company can have a great influence on our walk with God. It can trick us into thinking that we can keep the wrong type of company and continue o...

Having a Better relationship with God

"They were to look for God... and find Him because He is not far from each one of us. It is in Him that we live and move and keep on living". Acts 17:27 (NLV). You know that you want a better relationship with God, you just don't know how. God is always available to you if you "..seek Him with all your heart" (Deuteronomy 4:29). You have to Learn To Trust The Process. You Need To Learn To Trust God.

“But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence . They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought . Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit ".                                                                                                                              Jeremiah 17: 7-8 (NLT) Your Journey is your Journey. You may not be where you want to be, but you are 100% where God wants you to be. Where He has you is not punishment, it's not a delay, it's not because He doesn't love you. Ac...
